Join us for an information session to learn about two high-demand career paths in the healthcare field. The Respiratory Care Technology program prepares you for a career as a respiratory therapist in just 22 months. Respiratory therapists help others breathe more easily, working in hospitals to help treat people both young and old with health care issues affecting the cardiopulmonary system. Respiratory Care Techs are front line workers that are involved in every airway emergency in a hospital and run all the ventilators in a hospital. There is a shortage of Therapists and are in high demand if you're looking for a career path. Medical assistants are the only health care professionals specifically trained to work in doctor's offices, clinics and group practices. The career demand for medical assistants in the Philadelphia area is expected to grow by 10% in the next ten years. At this information session, you'll learn more about these programs and how to get started as a student at Community College of Philadelphia.
